Opening Hours
The institution is opened daily including weekends except Public Holidays.
The opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to
7:00 p.m. (Monday to Saturday) and 10.00 a.m. to
3.00 p.m. (Sunday). Lunch break are from 1:00 p.m. to
2:00 p.m.
Fees
Fees are charged depending on the number of students attending the class.
One-time Registration Fee: $35.00
- Individual classes: $110.00 per month
- Group classes:
- 2 students: $80.00 per student per month
- 4 to 6 students: $60.00 per student per
month
Advance Fees: Equivalent to 1 (one) month's course
fees.
Note:
- Fees to be collected on first week of
every month.
There will be 4 classes per month. If 5th Day of the class falls
on the same month, there will be NO class on that day.
Classes Frequency & Duration
1 hour, Once a week (timing depends on
Teacher's and Student's availability)
Institutions Rules & Regulations
- Compulsory Examinations are conducted every year
by an external teacher. Charges are $50.00 exam fees per student.
- Only students who have fulfilled the following requirements will be permitted to appear
for the final examinations:
- Have 75% attendance for the course year,
- Enrolment before 30th September of the each year,
- Payment of all outstanding fees.
- For non-examination courses, students may enroll
for classes without registering for the
annual examinations. Such students will proceed from year to year at their own pace but
will not be awarded a Certificate on completion of their course.
- The institution conducts weekly or monthly continuous assessments (class tests) which will be
assessed by the tutors.
- The examination marks comprises of:
- Continuous Assessment (10%)
- Theory (40%)
- Practical (50%)
- A student wishing to discontinue the classes must inform the teacher promptly one month
in advance and state the reason/s for withdrawal so that his/her name can be removed from
the class register. Verbal notice given will not be accepted by the
institution.
To illustrate:
For withdrawal letter received by the institution on 1st July, the student will
have to pay for the July fees.
For withdrawal letter received between 2nd July and 1st August, the
student will have to pay for both July and August fees.
- A student absent from the classes for two continuous weeks will be automatically removed
from the register and the time-slot will be made available to other students unless the
fees have been paid in advance to maintain his/her name in the register.
- Upon enrolment, new students must pay a registration fee of
S$35.00 and student must
give full personal information on their enrolment form.
- Fees are payable promptly by the first week of each month. Fees once paid are not
refundable.
- A student who persists in owing fees will be served with a Warning Notice and may be
suspended from the Institution until all outstanding fees are paid, failing which the matter
shall be referred to the Small Claims Tribunal.
- Classes cancelled by the teacher will be
compensated but kindly do not request for extra classes cancelled due to
personal absence.
- Students must be punctual for their classes at all times.

The institution conducts the following courses:
- Instrumental : Sitar, Tabla, Harmonium, Flute, Violin & Guitar.
- Vocal - Hindustani Classical, Bhajans
(Hindi Devotional Songs).
Public Holidays (in
Singapore)
Classes on public holidays will
not be conducted and will be considered as a class.

School
Holidays (Month: December)
Classes will not be conducted in
the month of December due to school holidays. However, both November and December fees will be collected
on the first week of November. If students discontinue their classes few
days before Nov / Dec, fees for both months will be charged if they join in
January.
Publications
There are several books which are written by Ustad Sharafat Khan. These books are the
result of his years of experience in his own research and dedication in teaching music.
The books are written in English for the student's convenience and clear
understanding. All our students use our study materials for their courses.
Books are to be purchased minimum 3
working days prior to the start of the first class of the course
(for online purchases only). Books will be posted-out
within that time frame. You should receive your books by post
mail before the start of your course. If books are unable to be
posted-out in time, other arrangements will be made. We will
inform you personally.
